Looks like Hurricane Irene took an extreme turn to the West last night while we we’re all sleeping. Glenn (aka Swimdad) in California, did’nt heed the warnings and left his boat in the water. Hopefully he can repair it in time For the upcoming Mayor’s Race at the Schooner Fest this year.

Paul, I Was on the way to join the GMG Sloop at the schooner fest, but I ran into Mean Irene. Boats alittle beat up, broke the mast and bow sprit but all hands are fine.

Another Sloop, not a Schooner, but you and Glenn posted it anyway…oh well.
FYI It may not be a schooner but it is a classic. Have been told by a very reliable source in Essex that it was most likely made by Lew Story in the late 20′s. All original hardware and paint. When I leave it for 1 of my sons it will have been in my family for 4 generations.
Oh well,,,,,,,,,I guess you are just a schooner snob…….oh well……. LOL
I assure you I am not a snob of any sort…I am glad that you have a beautiful ship model that you will be passing on to another generation, that said you have to look at the post, the Mayor’s Race is for schooners, only…Trust me I have a good sense of humor, it is just that I don’t wish for people to draw the wrong conclusion…I wish you and Paul well in everything that you do!
