Top Dog, Dog

I think Top Dog is becoming my favorite place for fried clams on Cape Ann. Their fried clams are very light, crispy and flavorful, the dogs are awesome too. It’s a great place for yummy summer food, people watching and taking a break from Bear Skin Neck shopping.

The Man’s Best Friend Hot Dog (chili & cheese) and Fried Clams at Top Dog in Rockport.

    I tried the clams based on this article and have to say they didn’t measure up to the ones I had at Charlie’s Place by Good Harbor Beach. And if you factor in the price I put Charlie’s above all the one’s I’ve had on RT 133, Farnham’s. Essex Seafood, Woodman’s and the Clam Box.

    CHARLIES IS A GREAT “FAST FOOD” SEAFOOD PLACE FOR TOURISTS. BUT YOU GOTTA GO TO THE CLAM BOX IN IPSWICH IF YOU WANT GREAT CLAMS! OF COURSE JUST IN MY OPINIION!
