Gwen Wilcox and David Manis from Somerville found their way to Rocky Neck for the first time, at the direction of their Gloucester friend, Peggy. Gwen purchased Joey C.’s photo of the walkway to Good Harbor Beach at dawn and won the famous Discover Gloucester bag. David got my “Winter Plunge” painting print. They also got GMG stickers for themselves and their friend Peggy (of course they have to check it out and tell all their friends in Somerville now that they will be famous on Good Morning Gloucester).

About E.J.
Artist, researcher, spiritual traveler of this fascinating orb we inhabit, lover of life and all it has to offer.
Hi everyone out there in GMG land. My name is Ellen “E.J.” Lefavour (a/k/a “Ejay Khan” – the pseudonym I used during my years as a political activist artist). I am a newcomer to Cape Ann, and thrilled to be a new contributor to Good Morning Gloucester. I am a painter and photographer who has lived and worked as an artist for 20 years, since leaving the corporate world in 1990 to pursue my passion. My contributions to GMG will consist of images (either my paintings, photographs, or the occasional video) and a little history about the image, called “Did you Know?” I hope to come up with tidbits of information that people don’t already know, or had forgotten they knew. As I am new here, everything is new and fascinating to me, especially the amazing history, so bear with me if I post something that is common knowledge – I’ll eventually come up with something that’s new to you. Please take a minute to comment on my posts, like them or not, especially if you have corrections or something to add, as that is how I, and all of us, learn. Have a Good Morning Gloucester, and a blessed day.
And you said you didn’t like that piece,LOL!
Just Kidding!
BOOM….THAT JUST HAPPENED!
I told you someone would buy it – and I never said I didn’t like it! I thought it was awesomely awesome!
I know you did, but you know I like to bust your chops!
Hey E.J. – We were on Mass. Ave. in Cambridge the day after visiting you in Gloucester. We did our good-do-bee duty and stopped in to say hello to your sister at Cambridge Clogs. She was there and we sent good tidings from you and told her what a lovely day we had. One of my MIT colleagues saw this posting on GMG and emailed me. Good thing I had not called in sick on Thursday. Thanks for treating us like royalty. We will be back to Rocky Neck soon!
