For those of you who actually read the blog and don’t just look at the pretty pictures, you know last fall I along with Peter Prybot were interviewed about our love for Gloucester, Cape Ann and our industry- the lobster industry for Air Tran’s in flight magazine- Go. The issue will be in every seat back pocket of every Air Tran flight during the month of May. Presumably travelers with money in their pockets will read the article and fall in love with our area or at least be tempted by our seafood and unpretentious attitude and come visit. Hopefully it helps with the local tourist season.
The picture of my ugly mug in the picture in this post was taken by Jessica Scranton who also shared the pictures she took of Peter with us in this post

The Old Town & the Sea
By John O’Connor
Find your sea legs — and claws, and tails — among the clam and lobster shacks and restaurants around Gloucester, MA, a place steeped in maritime history and atmosphere.

Great pictures and great publicity for Gloucester and, of course GMG
Thanks for posting the entire article. It will be interesting to learn if any air travelers actually do visit Gloucester and look you up. If so, please be sure to tell all of us!
Joey; Son, Father, Husband, Friend, Blogger and now SUPER MODEL?
Oh God, Help Us!
Great article and great accolades to you, Joey
Amazing article! And great interview, Joey. What a terrific snapshot of Gloucester. Makes me want to go there!
What a well-written article. So much of the time what is written about Gloucester is just sentimental, waterfront-as-a-movie-set stuff. But this article really captured the spirit of the place, just like GMG. Applause all the way around. Good on ya Joey! Way to represent! And you clean up nicely, too.
Hey, I know that guy. Proud to say he is my Brother !!!
For some reason your super model pose reminded me that June 13 is National Juggling Day and June 15 is National Lobster Day.
You’re practicing for both and the third lobster is in the air, right?
That’s so awesome — and you look great!
Thoughtfully written (and beautifully photographed) article! — Great for Gloucester, great for you, and a wonderful gift for Peter Prybot’s family.
Great article and great photo of you!
Your Gloucester thumbprint is spreading far and “high.” We can even read about her in the skies, now. Who knew?
It’s clear your love for “Annie” knows no bounds. (That’s Cape Ann, not another woman, for all you Wonderers out there in GMG Land.) Thanks, Joey, for showing the rest of the world what a gem she is. No place sparkles like my home town, Gloucester.
Phenomenal. Congratulations.
I’m having Kurt steal this magazine from the Air Tran he’ll be on, on Wednesday!!!
Hey Dani could you see if he could steal two? My mom wanted a copy
