Pebbles of Pebble Beach

Cape Ann is filled with so many beaches, and all are unique.  I love the sound of waves gently crashing and retreating from the pebbles.  It sounds even better underwater, for that reason alone its a favorite dive spot.

Alicia are you going to take some underwater shots this year?

Alicia, My Aunt Viola McCord, who summered in Rockport from 1929-1983, always called these Pebble Beach rocks by the name of “popples”. Rockport will always be my favorite place. I was fortunate to spend many summers there as a child with my aunt, and I’ve returned as often as I could.

    Isnt that Cape Hedge?

    • Alicia says:

It is Pebble beach, this was taken from Penzance road. I think the pebbles appear higher than they actually are in the photo, so maybe that’s why it looks like Cape Hedge.
