Mr. Morrison’s BIG Adventure

I caught Paul at the Staging area for the Blackburn Challenge earlier today. He gave me a quick Geology Lesson and his stratergy for finishing the Race. Did you know there are Salt Dikes here on Cape Ann? Neither did I. I’ll have to do some Research. Paul is prepared for everything. He’s got his compass attached to the Bow so he does’nt end up In Portsmouth. His Iphone with his Family monitoring his position so he does’nt stray to the nearest Martini Bar and plenty of energy bars and Bananas.

The most important thing I learned was how to fill your Kayak up with water, PEE, Then pump the waste water out. That will also help keep The Great White Sharks Away.

Goodluck Paul! See you at the Finish Line.

Good water conditions over here by Lanes Cove. Not sure if we spotted Paul or not. Tons of kayaks and other paddle craft were out there. Nice day for it!

  2. Ed Collard says:

    Way to go Paul!! Congrats

  3. I made it. Met Paul F at the start, Saw David taking photos I think off the Annisquam lighthouse, then Damon out on the Glass Slipper off Lanesville.

I loved the whole trip. My fingers and toes said WTF around Milk Island. Hard to type. More later.

But there were three glasses of Ipswich IPA and a pulled pork sandwich waiting at the greasy pole.

I do need a bigger boat.

  4. GREAT JOB PAUL!
    Your an inspiration.
You must’ve had a faster time than you thought. I was at the finish line about 12:45 did’nt see you anywhere. stayed about 45 min.
    AGAIN. GREAT JOB!

    • You missed me by about ten minutes but on the long side. I got in a little before 2PM. My question to the committee boat as I crossed the line, “Any beer left?” Better hurry! Yes there was.

  5. Jay Albert says:

I saw you! I was in my “chase boat” off Salt Island waiting patiently for the last boat….You were it! That’s until I had to “rescue” a contestant with a sore back off Milk Island. Then I passed you towing his dory! At least you didn’t tell me where to go like a wayward rower did!
    What a day!
