Music Series Coming To The “Meetinghouse in the Gloucester U.U. Church

Hi Joey,

Here’s a poster and some words about a music series coming to the “Meetinghouse in the Gloucester U.U. Church ”

Every Friday evening in July (Beginning July 2nd) —  at 8:00 pm — the “Meetinghouse” will be alive with a cappella music.  Overboard is a group of 6 singers who met while attending college in Boston .  They have performed in Boston , the North Shore , and around New England and were nominated for 8 awards in 2010.  Their latest album is “Help.”   For a sample of their music, check out their website (www.overboardvocals.com) and take a listen to their work.  We’re sure you’ll be impressed and will be among those who can’t wait to hear them in person.

Admission is $10   –   $5 for students and those over 65

Just a note to say what a wonderful evening we had listening to Overboard. These young men are so full of energy. They have refined their music to near perfection. No amplification, no accompaniment, just human voices pure and so personal – including mouth percussion (you have to see/hear it to believe it!)

Not only is their music full of rich harmony and surprise moments, they ham it up with the audience in a totally entertaining way. If you want a fun couple of hours, don’t miss Overboard on one of the next 3 Friday evenings at the UU Church in Gloucester.

    Hi Joey,

Thanks so much for including us in your blog! Also, thanks to Nancy for her kind words, we’re always thrilled to hear from people who enjoy our shows.
