FOB Kurt Ankeny from OneSqFt Studio passed this link along to the live ship tracking map- http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/
It’s amazing how everything is updated live and you can drill right down on each individual ship.

amazing
Pretty neat. It’s missing some Woods Hole Ferries.
On a similar note I always wondered where these passenger jets were coming from that seemed to come right over my house at dusk in Wayland. They were up at least 25,000 feet just white streaks heading towards Nova Scotia to Europe. I thought they were coming from Atlanta or Texas.
But going here:

I found out they were all coming from JFK and Newark and heading all over Europe. Takes a while to figure out how to click in to get the best map then figure out airport codes.
Thanks Kurt, I love this stuff!
