Flanagan’s Wake, Saturday night, March 6 at Gloucester Stage Company Organized by Eastern Point Day School

From Ally O’Connor-

For one night only in 2010, on Saturday, March 6, Flanagan’s Wake comes to the Gloucester Stage Company.  An interactive Irish wake that magically transports you to the Emerald Isle to mourn Flanagan, dear friend and cousin.  A cast of actors play the roles of Flanagan’s family and friends, toastin’ , singin’ and dancin’ with all the audience members – the “American cousins”.  This brilliant ensemble of Boston area improvisers, including several from Cape Ann and North of Boston, use suggestions from the audience to create improvised songs and stories about the man in the box.  Critics call Flanagan’s Wake “hilarious…rich and spontaneous…charming cast” (The Boston Globe), “Dead-funny…a good humored spoof” (Boston Herald) and “The funniest show you’ll ever see” (NBC TV).  With an almost sold out show, pre-purchase of remaining tickets is recommended and are $25.00.
