Things To Do- Tall Ship Camp

From Jo-Anne Crawford

Hi Joey

Thanks for all you do for our community!
Here is the program we are trying to put together with the Spirit of Massachusetts for kids and families of Cape Ann.
We are working with SailGloucester out of the Mayors office, and will send you their press release as soon as it is complete.

Ahoy Sailors…..
We are in the 11th hour to do the Tall Ship camp – will your child and a friend would consider it?
We are working with the Gloucester  Mayors office and a new Sail Gloucester initiative that is sooo exciting – but I need to firm up this trip
we need a few more kids
It will be June 28- July 2 (5 days/ 4nights) @ $750 pp this is just the cost of renting the Schooner – and it is a great deal!!! We are not trying to make money – we just believe that our Cape Ann kids deserve this opportunity!!!!!
Thanks for any ideas and input
Jo-Anne and Captain Amanda

Arley Pett’s Beautiful Old School Gloucester Map Coasters At Alexandra’s Bread

Every time I go into Alexandra’s bread I’m astounded by all the cool stuff in there.  It’s not just bread either.  I hesitate to say that Alexandra’s talents are almost wasted in this space because I’d hate to see her go, but really she ought to be a buyer for a huge store.  She has assembled the coolest collections of things like Arley Pett’s 1899 Gloucester Map Coasters.

And on Friday nite: It’s the return of the GEEZERS at Elliot’s at the Blackburn. This is a fun unit: Dave Brown, Dave Mattacks, Greg Tower and myself. $4.25 Lg Meatball Sub At Supreme Roast Beef

The large meatball sub at Supreme had a nice toasted sub roll.  Not a ton of meat but it was tasty and not all that expensive.  Other places that serve $6.00 lg meatball subs are not overcharging in comparison because you probably get double the meat at the other places but if you are not looking for a huge sub this sub tasted great and is a good option.
