Duckworth’s Bistrot Gets Highest Zagat Rating In The Entire Boston and Surrounding Area Restaurants

Zagat has awarded our own Duckworth’s Bistrot a score of 29 out of 30.  Out of 1200 reviews (you read that right, 1200)  Duckworth scored a 29.   No restaurant in Boston or any of the surrounding communities have scored as high in the current edition.

Of course it couldn’t hurt that Ken being the knowledgeable restaurant owner that he is gets his lobsters at our dock. :)

Random Thoughts About The North Shore Mall

The new restaurant inside Neiman Marcus looks interesting and if the food is half as good as it sounds on the menu it should be worth a visit.  We’ll report soon.

The smell of perfume coming out of Abercrombie and Fitch is way over the top obnoxious.

The Apple Store is always packed.  Amazing that they get twice the price for an an Apple computer than they do for a similarly spec’d out PC.

It baffles me how all the high end stores that are routinely empty as far as customer volume can afford to pay rent and employ people but the spaces in the new wing are getting filled up.

Mass Audubon nature festival today

Mass Audubon’s Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary in Topsfield will hold its 12th annual nature festival today, Sunday, May 31 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A highlight of the festival this year will be live owl presentations by Marcia Wilson’s “Eyes on Owls” program. The festival offers activities for adults and families including nature walks, ponding, and exhibits to learn about birds, beavers, butterflies, solar power, sustainability, being “green”, composting, honey bees, and more. Build a bird-feeder with your child and venture into our specially constructed “beaver lodge”…..To read more, click here.

Sharon’s BP Update

cycleSo I went off my third blood pressure med last Friday determined to stay off. I made the commitment to myself to exercise regularly (and I added Omega 3-6-9 capsules from Common Crow). I rode 12 slow miles on Monday, walked on Tuesday, Weds and Thurs I goofed off, Fri rode on the bike on the indoor trainer. Yesterday afternoon I had my BP checked and it was 20 points lower than a week ago on the medicine!

So we’ll see how this all works out. I rode 11 hard miles (hills) today into Rockport. It feels great though!  I’ll keep you posted!     —Sharon

Will this do, Joey?

Seinfeld_Kramer_Lobster_Shirt-TPuffy Shirt Update-

Joey’s holding out for a hundred billion bucks to get him to wear the Puffy Shirt for the Block Party. But he has consented to wear Cosmo Kramer’s Lobster Shirt.

Should we push for the Puffy Shirt or get him the lobster shirt?
